With ever-changing tax laws, the task of preparing annual tax returns can be daunting. We are here to help with this task. We are available throughout the year to answer questions whenever a new situation comes up for our clients. i.e., the birth of a child, marriage or divorce, death of a family member, purchase, or sale of a home. We have found that answering questions along the way helps our clients to know how these events will affect their taxes. Being prepared often means less stress for the client. 

Business tax preparation is also a service that we provide. For many of our clients, this means much more than preparing a form. We like to get to know our clients and meet throughout the year. We meet for tax planning to minimize tax liabilities. We meet to assist with the analysis of cash flows and tax planning when major equipment purchases are being contemplated. We are QuickBooks certified and often help with questions about posting or how to get specific reports from this program in order to know which areas of their business are most profitable.

Taxes for our business clients can include payroll and sales tax in addition to their income taxes. We like to meet with our clients to review their exposure in these areas.

We have been using QuickBooks here at the firm since 1997. We feel that using the software best prepares us to assist our clients with questions about the program. If we do not know the answer, we have the resources available to research the problem. 

We have found that setting up the program can be the most stressful part of using the program. We are here to help with that task. We then like to meet for an hour at a time to teach our clients how to use the program. Longer sessions tend to overwhelm. 

Many of our clients say they would like to get more out of their program. These clients find that meeting with us to review their needs is more helpful than taking a generic QuickBooks class. We focus on their process and ways to optimize input of these into QuickBooks. We also focus on reports that would be helpful to their business and memorize them for future use.
